"last update" is when the item was last changed in game, not when it was last seen. There was likely a game patch around that time that added or changed a data field related to items that players wouldn't normally notice but is picked up programs like magelo and lucy.

Thank you for the information.
I do find it misleading and wouldn't mind a date field showing that the database has all the latest information. One of the reasons I want to use the sync feature is to be sure that the database is recording the drop rates of mobs I'm harvesting for items so that I know where best to find items.
Anyway, thanks for the update - I'll be a good Storm Trooper and follow your advice, "Move along, these aren't the droids your looking for..."

The issue with a last seen date is that you have no certitude that something has not been seen in the long time because nobody who has it has run Magelo Sync or because the item has been phased out of the game. So it can be very misleading as well..
But I do see how it could be beneficial however I remember that we did implement it on our WoW channel and end up removing it, but I forgot why...
