Being a premium member and syncing doesn't update your flags/keys, your stuck doing both manually

Hello balwolf,
Yes, it has always been the case. We cannot synchronize your flags and keys, you need to manually update them.
Now do you still need to fill them up considering since quite a few extension, EverQuest is leveraging the Achievement system, instead of creating some new flags and keys?
We are actually thinking of removing those flags and keys section since they look deprecated by the game now. What do you think about that?

you certainly could, a lot of the "flags and keys" on the list are very old and like you said deprecated.

The majority of keys and flags do not show up at all in the Achievements; so I think that removing them because of Achievement is extremely premature. With the exception of those related to SoFaydwer (and Anguish, due to lack of knowledge) the flags/keys are still needed if you wish to zone into a zone before it is unlocked by level, so none of those flags/keys have been deprecated at all. It is only the SoF and later expansions which completely remove flagging after an expansion reaches a certain age (i.e. a level 1 can zone into those zones).

Thanks for your reply Kaliaila. So looks like we have to keep the Flags and Key system for now.

If an in-era progression guild can't track what guild members have what flags and keys, even if they have to be manually entered due to how things are done in EQ, then the usefulness of Magelo is greatly diminished around that.
It is currently the only way to do that, since EQPlayers isn't around.
Of course, folks who don't do old-school progression wouldn't care about this, but for those who do it is a big deal.
