Hi, first time poster. I had Magelo Sync installed a while back and it's ease of use and nice features really intrigued me. Then I started seeing some posts on the WoW Forums regarding the program and it's potential in getting you banned.
Now I've read the Legal Concerns post and I understand how Magelo works and how it does nothing to alter your game play. I saw the GM replies in game and on the forum. It's just like Bliz to not give a definite answer of "yes it's fine" or "no we'll ban you". Which would be so much more helpful that then just banning people because of it and never explaining what actually got them banned.
Now the reason I'm posting this is I've seen a few (very few) people say Magelo got them banned. I myself find this unlikely as if Bliz was going to ban anyone who used this program there would have been a HUGE outcry on Bliz's Customer Service Forum (where I frequently lurk). I have not seen such and only seen a few scattered reports which could have been caused by any number of things unknown to me.
Out of fear for my account I have already uninstalled Magelo and stopped using it. I would really love to begin using it again though as I thought it was pretty nifty. My question to the WoW Community who uses this program how long have you been using it? I understand how Warden works and I assume that even if just a group of 10 people used Magelo for a long amount of time on regular basis and none of them got banned that Magelo is safe enough to use for me.
Of course Bliz can always change Warden and it might end up reading Magelo as a illegal Third-Party program but as I've seen in the past almost anything can set Warden off anyway.

Hi rabbidlemming,
I believe some numbers should buy you some peace of mind regarding Magelo Sync:
- Magelo Sync is used daily by more than 30 000 WOW players
- More than 100 000 characters has been created so far with Magelo Sync
Given the number of people using Magelo Sync daily, i am convinced that no one has been banned for using Magelo Sync ever which afterall is pretty logic given that we don't do anything harmful to the game or the gameplay.

Thank you Jelan, that indeed does put my mind at ease, with that amount of use if it did throw up red flags for Warden there would have been a far larger outcry then the few I've seen. Thanks again.
