Hi WoA and welcome to Magelo!
This should have been fixed with the quick patch that came after the major update patch a few days ago. Could you try restarting Magelo and see if you're still getting this error please?

I recently updated to Vista and lost the old install so I will not be able to check if that fixed it or not.

I'm trying to understand what's happening, but it's pretty hard to figure as it indicates a required file is missing. That file being packaged in our "exe" file, the last available version of sync should work smoothly (just tried a fresh install with the lastest java). That's why I'm rather perplex 
To investigate further, I'd like you to provide additionnal informations, firstly, the exact version of Java you are using.
You can find what version is currently used by Windows, through the control panel :
> Java > "Java" Tab > Then click on the button in the lower part of the window, it should display a list of your Java versions.
I also would like to inspect the "MageloSync.exe" you are using, if you've a web space available, it would be nice to upload it and give us the link to the file.
Alternatively, you can use a file-sharing website to upload it, such as :
http://www.2shared.com

I am running 64 bit and when i try to start it nothing happens it just makes a little error sheet in my install area that says

I am to be getting the same Error as the OP. Im running Windows XP SP3 and using the latest Java Download from their web site. The odd thing is that the sync work on my work computer, but not at home where i have WoW installed.

I've been following up on this case and our team has told me that they've found nothing out of place in the server logs, so it most likely is on the client side - either Java or the Magelo Sync that was installed could be the issue.
Could you please try to check if the Java version you have is working correctly? You might want to check out this page and use the link provided in this page to test if it is working correctly.

Ok, I see we've got some concurrent issues cropping up with Java Update 11 and it might be related to your cases - do you guys think you can try downgrade to a previous version of Java and let me know if it will work?
