Same issue, no characters on the screen. I don't see any button in the lower left with "EQ" on it.

mine shows the characters, shows the eq buttons on bottem left, update worked but no aa showed in the aa tab...profiles below.

I am having the same issue as earlier. I have the latest updater. Just deleted everything and started over. It has EQ icon in corner, but no characters show to sinc. As much as I appreciate all you do, this is starting to wear a bit thin. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

I have gone thru several phases of not being to update...started out getting synch errors, then time out errors, I am now at the point where I cant get the updater to load at all. Have tried from desktop and website...I get the java screen then it disappears and nothing else happens.

cleared out IE cache and JAVA cache and still no characters show up and can't sync. Nothing really other than that to report.

OKay so I load it up and it looks like I have the same problem others were mentioning, but I am patient and it takes a few extra seconds for it to upload the 4.0.1 piece or something, and then my toon is there.
However, as soon as I click syncronize it tries and I get an error text box that states "an error occurred when synchronizing the characters:"
LeOddly enough however it actually does sync up...

Ok, so after the website being up and down all day i'm now getting an "error" while trying to Sync. I've tried really hard to be patient thru all this, but now i'm just getting cranky.

Greetings,
Even though I tries to upload the 4.0.1 version, it still says 4.0.0 (or it does not update).
Anyway, like many others here, I am getting the 'an error occurred when synchronizing the characters' message.
After that, I am having trouble to actually check what was updated (and what was not) on the Magelo #554213.
The magelo.txt file is talking about 'new items detected'.
Then it tries to send some datas and finally it says something like : 'Stopping Service service : Deadlock Hunter [date / time] Closing Application'

It seemed to work pretty well after some downloading and patching issues, which I think is mainly an internet/server having heavy load or something, the only issue I have so far (I haven't checked out everything yet, just looking through right now) is that for my class AA (Enchanter), Animation Empathy does not load properly on the profile display. Right now it loads all of the code used for displaying (I suspect there's a missing bracket or something thats affecting the code) and thus the format for the whole AA page for class is not displaying properly, I only see the AA names and not the rest of the info.

Reads 4.0.0 shows eq Icon on bottom left after it got the eq module downloaded which took some time and it grabed the character I had logged in. EQ was running at that time, so I guess it works as intended. Great work

it working now and mmanaged to Sync. Still really touchy about the startup of EQ. At least 1 of last 4 times it told me eq had been changed. other 3 times worked fine. Not exactly sure why but will try to catch a log or something and forward if I can.

Ok was able to duplicate the problem with the Changed EQ - looking at processes found "eqgame.exe" had hung in memory with less the 64Mb in use. Apparently If I load and unload game 4-5 times it manages to hang up on an XP and Vista machine both at least once. When it hangs in memory if you got to task manager, processes and remove the eqgame.exe Magelo quits saying things have changed and goes back to logging toons and allowing the sync.
