Magelo sync collects Guild membership and guild rank for each character, as part of establishing identity. If I could pay for all my guildmates of a certain rank (54 slots base, +up in lots of 2doz or so? reset quarterly?) to be able to update just those characters with their gear & such, gold badge etc, I'd totally be down for that.

I hear you, it's something we had contemplated before but it's not easy to come up with a formula that would be win win for everyone and would not be too convoluted.

Guilds already make a practice of paying annually for web hosting for their forums, surely a fair price can be arrived at for this service. If the tech isn't a barrier

still here, still hoping. SO MANY players aren't subscribing for themselves, and won't, that might be converted into customers by being part of a guild level adoption of the service. Find the right quarterly price, enable gear syncing based on the character being full member (that's rank 4 by default, though maybe that could be customizable by the payer? or not, whatever) in a subscribed guild. Please.

Been a couple years since I bothered with a bump, but my wish persists that Magelo would multiply its community uptake by having group-based subscription.
Sync already reads guild tags, and guild ranks.
Figure some price for doing the full sync with gear & gold badge for the first 72(?) characters with rank 4+. Expansion bundles for a couple hundred characters. Probably make it reset quarterly so folks only keep their badges if their profile stays current.

Other work becomes more valuable if there are more users. Please prioritize broadening the uptake of your service.
Magelo already collects guild membership and rank. Use that data to validate clicking the Sync button.
A guild subscription:
Base, the first 54(?) guild members of rank X-or-higher (by default, the top 5 ranks are Leader-SrOfficer-Officer-SrMember-Member, but whoever pays for the sub might trivially opt for some other rank threshold) to hit the button use the guild membership to gearsync/goldbadge their character.
Payable expansions of the sync-able characters in blocs of 24(?)
Renewal at 4(?) months instead of annually, to "clear out" the sync slots for active members/users. This also enforces the current-ness (currency is the correct word but can be misunderstood) of profiles.
Having group memberships will bulk add users of the website, immediately multiplying the value provided to individual subscribers. The more active profiles are hosted, the more interesting and cool it is to participate in Magelo's roster of EQ characters. A group sub would make your service a real perk that guilds can offer to their members. How cool would that be?
The present subscription "package" includes, like, up to 14 characters each on up to two dozen servers? For a year at a time. You're not going to lose customers by alternately syncing one of those via a group sub. Instead you're going to pack on 50 more real human users, who right now are manifestly not active subscribers. But they might provide context and community against the backdrop of which players that don't have a group sub might want to place themselves. And heck, they might decide to sub themselves for alts & such.
Find a price. I don't know your costs per user, but some price has to make sense for you to take on several hundred more, really liven up the joint.

This does seem like a neat "corporate license package" idea to be able to implement, and boost sales.
