Greetings...
Well im here today to rant about the false data that has been added to your databace via private servers and there "false" content.
Im sure you know what i meen, and wouldent need to provide an example of how to "replicate the problem"
I am however wanting to start a thread and give suggestions in how to stop this, and as someone said in a older post, be raid in the up coming ranking system.
So.. the first and only idea i have, is to make a list of realms, match the foldername (IE mine is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\Durotan\Cpod) and match it up with the folder to the list of realms you would have on the server.
Idk if there's some other fancy LAU script that can be more effective or anything like that, but... all the false data is getting really old.

the next server update will contain a lot of data filtering. 
As far as I know, there is two cases to handle...
Players playing on private server they're simply ignored as soon as we know they're playing on a private server.
Players that played on a private server, it is a little tricky, the game is caching data on your disk. When you play on a private server, these caches may contain corrupted data. Then if the player play on an official server, he could send us data from his previous session.
We do not access the file system, it is not planned as long as it is not necessary

ok, I'll admit it, I play on a private server... But I don't want to cause problems for Magelo. Is there possibly a way for you to make support for Private Servers in Magelo? Or make another application dedicated to private servers? I don't think such a great application should be limited to characters that exist on retail servers.
If you do not want to support private servers in anyway, I can respect that. It's your software, and your decision. But would you (or anyone else) know of someone who does support private server character profiles? That would be great, Thx!
