I tried to create a sig and it worked fine but when i noticed there was a drop bar on the backgrounds i went back to edit and since then tried a few different things but it wont update either on the site or on the links... does it take sometime to process?

It should take just a few minutes to propagate however there is an issue right now and it took quite some times (up to an hour...). It looks like the issue has been fixed. I will monitor this closely anyhow. Thanks for your report.
