Is there any way to reduce the frequency of the refresh rate of the application?
I have it running in the background, and it causes half-second video and sound freezes every 10-15 seconds, and I assume its because its refreshing the Char.
Is it on a timer? Or do certain events cause it to refresh? What can I do limit its impact?
I've never had an app slow down WoW on my new system, so this is a new thing. I'm pretty sure I meet or exceed all specs for both WoW and Magelo - someone can let me know differently.
Just in case, here are my specs
AMD Phenom 9850 (4x Core 2.50 MHz per core)
EVGA (nVidia) GeForce 9600 GT (512MB)
RealTek (HiDef) 7.1 Sound
Windows Vista 64-bit Edition
8GB RAM
2 WD 7200rpm 250GB HD in RAID+0 config

Hello Kyrros,
I know there is still some performance issues with Sync, but with a system such as yours, you shouldn't notice any slow down.
I suspect there's an error occuring, that's the only way I met where Sync could eat up to a core on a dual or quad core system.
Could you send us (just copy it here) your log in the Sync folder ? When Sync is running you can open your log file by hitting Ctrl+Shift+L

I was running the updater in the background today, and there is no noticeable performance decrease. I haven't made any changes to my system (except I restarted, finally, yesterday after a windows update :-p) So whatever it is, seem to have been fixed.
(So I can run WoW, Firefox with multiple open tabs, Magelo WOW updater, and Magelo EQ updater with no apparent performance hit to WoW. )
