Anyone got any suggestion on which specc i should go for lvling ?
Most likely i'm going to specc prottection at lvl 80, and atm im collecting gear alongside lvling as ret. Is that the best way?

It is generally accepted that for leveling using a Ret build is best (with a few points in Holy Strength and perhaps Blessing of Kings on the Prot side.) Most folks switch to a combination of Holy and Prot for Raiding. But really, Ret is viable if you spec right. Depends on what your guild needs.

just for the record, I had no problem leveling prot, and I'm talking solo. I didn't do alot of dungeons since my rl friends quit for Warhammer (and I prefer grouping with people I'm familiar with), but that just left me a lot of time to quest grind, and it was aactually a blast for me. I've been 70 a while now, but the spell changes with WotLK made it even more fun to tank solo, keeping both my health and my mana up insanely long.
sadly, prot does horrible in PvP (unless you like pissing rogues off), so I recently switched to ret. damage output improved alot, but I miss Holy Shield and the new BoSanctuary. 
for lvling however, the best depends on preference. both are viable from what I see. yes ret is obvious, but if survivability is your cup of tea (and I mean outside of instances too), well, you get the picture.

Interesting that Prot is also viable. I was always under the impression that it just took so much longer to kill mobs that it would be a bit frustrating. Thanks for the info sir.

in the 50s on a ret pally i almost never run out of mana or hp gets to low with 100% replenishing effect. ret pally has been so easy for me to solo. really enjoy it

To be honest, I don't really think spec matters for leveling. I leveled 70-80 as holy and it was very easy to kill mobs. Only about 5 or 6 hits to kill them and my mana and health never got too low unless I was taking on a large number of mobs.
