I just downloaded the program the other day and it worked great. Edited my sig and got it just the way i wanted it. When i first started the program it asked me to start the game and then to sync each char. Now when i start Magelo i see the icon in the bottom right of the screen but i dont see a slash screen at all when i turn it on. Does it work in the background and is there not a need to sync it anymore? When i right click on the icon and choose open the splash screen doesnt appear but there is a bar in the task bar that says magelo 4.1.3. When i go to click it it goes away. Not sure if that is how it is supposed to work... thanks

Hello Quickshotz and welcome to the Magelo boards!

Magelo Sync is able to run in the background, but to actually send the character profile information to the server, you will need to click 'Sync Now!' in Magelo Sync to save your current character profile. I would suggest right clicking the Magelo Sync in the taskbar and select 'Open' to maximize the Magelo Sync window to do that if you need to update your profile.

Hi Erycil,

Thank you for the quick reply. When I right click the magelo icon and select open, I get a box in the task bar (no splash screen). When i right click the megelo box in the task bar my only options are move minimize or close. The restore, size and maximize are greyed out. If i just left click on it as to bring up the screen it goes away and i start the cycle all over again. I guess what i am trying to say is i cant get to the sync screen or splash screen as i have been calling it. Thanks

Well I tries reinstalling java nad magelo and get the same results. When i start magelo i get the updat screen and when it says it is up to date it disappears and ends up in the task bar. So pretty much the same thing as above. Almost as if it wants to post the sync screen but cant. I turned off all my anitvirus and screen blockers so im still not sure what the problem is.....

That's a pretty unique case you bring up, qucikshotz. Is there any way you can get a log from your side when running Magelo Sync when that happens? To open the log, press Shift + Ctrl + L and the log file will appear, just copy and paste the contents here.

Update:

Quickshotz, could you go into your Magelo Sync folder and delete the "sync.properties" file? It would restore your configuration to the default one. Could you let me know if it works (or not )?

Umm I was just wandering how do u edit your profile because i cant seem to find out how

Hey Erycil,
Sorry it took so long to get back to ya but yes after deleting the folder, the screen does appear. It took 3 tries because that folder kept popping up after i deleted it. On the third try it stayed hidden and i was able to update my character. Hope this helps with tech support and anyone else having the same problem i did. Once again great app =)
