Hello, I'm relatively new to the game. I've been playing other RPG's for a long time and I'm kind of used to a strong storyline. In WoW there isn't really a storyline, and to be honest, I don't understand what I'm doing all the time. I've seen a lot of references (presumably to W3), but don't understand it. I'm stuck with questions like: What is the Lich King? What has he got to do with Arthas? Who's Arthas anyway? Kil'Jaeden? Illidan? Next to the storyline, I'm also stuck with other uestions about gameplay: I've heard about raids, twinks, etc. Also: can anybody give me some advise about leveling. I'm now 35, nearly 36, but this took me for about 1 week (35 to 36). My main's a 35 Human Rogue. Some interesting leveling spots or area's or maybe some quest chains giving nice amounts of XP. Thanks

WoW and Warcraft in general have a very strong lore and quite a number of stories. The best way to experience them is to actually read the quest text. It's easy to get into a rut where you just scan the quest text for what you're supposed to do...but if you do that, you lose out on why you're doing it. One of the biggest flaws in WoW is that most players will never see the culmination of many of the story lines. I think they tried to address that by making the instances in WotLK easy mode. With the Outland and Azeroth instances easy mode at level 80, more people will get a chance to see the end of the stories. They've also tried to address that by pushing the story on you. If you can get through Dragonblight (lower seventies) without knowing who Arthas is and why he united with the Lich King, you just aren't paying attention. If your characters aren't high enough level to experience the late story, try WoWWiki. The story is all there if you follow the hyperlinks. Without knowing what areas you've done, and really off the top of my head, at level 35, you could be doing the late Wetlands quests, Arathi, Alterac Mts, Southshore, Theramore/Dustwallow, Stranglethorn Vale, Desolace, Badlands, Thousand Needles/Shimmering Flats and I believe Forest Song (might be gray). I'm sure some of those are off, but they should all be pretty close.
