The Gear Planner is showing gem slots for gear that does not have gem slots, such as Savage Saronite Bracers.

Hi tootallbob,

It looks like your character has the blacksmithing profession so we automatically add the socket for you.

It's not a bug...its a feature

Quoted from WoWWiki:
As of patch 3.0.2, Blacksmiths can now permanently place a socket on their own bracers and gloves at skill level 400

Your character has Blacksmithing, but it's around skill level 200.

The Gear Planner assumes you have the ability to make any modifications to your gear at the max profession level. So, if you wish to have those sockets in your gear, you might want to level up your Blacksmithing!

That should actually be the goal of the Gear Planner - ie - help you plan upgrades for your character, both in the near and distant future. I'm confused, would you rather not see any prismatic sockets at all?

I guess this is a little confusing since the socket modification is not available to you yet. Also you will probably see an extra socket in your waist slot because you can add one with an Eternal Belt Buckle.

I suppose it would make more sense to strictly enforce the requirements by default rather than let you see what you will be potentially be able to do. And make it an option to show you your potential.
