as the subject says...
i am trying to upgrade to premium, and pay via paypal. i check all the appropriate options on the form here at Magelo... and my browser just sits and spins forever. i am never forwarded to paypal, etc.
have attempted this under recent versions of chrome, safari, firefox, and IE.

Hi acapela,
It looks like there is an issue right now with Paypal if you choose to bookmark your payment method. We are looking into it, already contacted Paypal to find out what is going on. For now, don't check mark the option and you should be fine.
Thanks again for this feedback as well

After a chat with a Paypal dev, they solved the issue on their end, it should work just fine now.

i just now remembered posting this error. checked back, to see that you indicate this problem is "fixed", so i just tried again.
FYI, i never checked the "bookmark this payment method" box on your form, i don't think that would have helped.
the current experience proceeds further than it did before. i check paypal as the payment method. i leave "automatically renew" and "bookmark" unchecked. i click on "pay now". i reach a paypal login page, which includes a magelo "payment summary" section, and successfully log in to paypal. i change my paypal payment method from bank to credit card, which apparently succeeds.
then, finally, i click on "pay", and am routed to a browser error page listing a huge URL (which contains a big chunk of embedded alphanumeric "SESSION" data and a big chunk of embedded hexadecimal "dispatch" data), with the error message "can't open the page". i check my paypal transaction history directly, and there is no record of any payment.
you don't accept AMEX as a direct payment method, so i am still stuck. i still cannot subscribe to magelo.

Hi acapela,
Thanks a lot for the follow up. This is weird... I somewhat believe that the error you see is happening on the paypal website, just to confirm that, could you send me a screenshot once you are on the browser error page with the url ? You can email at jelan@magelo.com
Also if I am right, I am thinking that maybe you should try to put some money on your paypal account first using your credit card from paypal website and only then try to use your paypal account to pay for the magelo subscription (using money from your paypal account directly).

sent the screenshot months ago.
attempted to buy premium again, just now. got all the way through the ebay payment process (signing in, choosing my payment method, confirming purchase), and i end up on a page that says: "Your payment can't be completed. Please return to the participating website and try again."
so, still no progress. it is entirely possible that this is some sort of paypal problem, but in my experience, magelo is the only paypal merchant that has had these problems (i pay for stuff all the time using paypal, so i think it is unlikely the problem is with my own paypal account).

Hi acapela,
Geez I can't believe this is still not working while all the other PayPal payments go trough just fine... I will track down yours and open a ticket with PayPal to troubleshoot what is going on. I will keep you posted and thanks again for your help.

alright, after 3+ months of no response from Magelo, i tried this again. magically, it worked. no change in procedure at my end.
fiddling with my character signatures, it does indeed appear i can access premium features.
all-in-all, this has been a strange experience.

Paypal may have done finally something! This was also a strange experience for us!
And to thank you for not giving up, we granted you 3 extra months of Premium on your brand new subscription.
Thanks again for your support and your patience
