Hi Krullthor,

I understand your concern, and it's an unfortunate fact that changing back from using Magelo Sync to Armory Import is harder to do.

When you change the method of updating your character from Armory Import to Magelo Sync, you are actually upgrading various related services linked to your character, which is why it's a one-way change. For example, the Inventory tool, Profile/Sig (stats) and the Gear Planner all have some data that relies solely on Magelo Sync.

However, as long as you continue using Magelo Sync whenever you play, you wouldn't need to worry about keeping it updated when you are travelling - it should stay the same if you haven't logged onto your character, correct?

Just joined tonight, have been logged into WoW and been playing for some hours. My character have no loaded they are still pending. It seams that this is a big problem after reading this thread. I have tried deleting and starting again but nothing

Hello Alow and welcome
Please do not worry, the issue is not related to the Armory import method but to the huge patch 4.0.1 applied few days ago on the game to prepare the Cataclysm upcoming new expansion. We are still working on it and you cannot create your character or update it for the moment.

I just noticed that the queues for Armory updates are very long.
I suspect this is due to the Armory being updated & moving to a new url & everyone simulaneously wanting to generate Worgen & Goblin signatures.

It may be wise to temporarily remove / disable the [update] link, this to prevent a large number of "not work why!" posts
Because at the moment it looks like it is simply 'broken' while I suspect that you're actually working quite hard on updating to the new Armory format.

Hi krullthor,

Yes we are working on it! As you cannot access anymore the Armory we need to update the way we validate you are the owner of the character you want to import. So the import of new character as well as the update is not possible at the moment.

A new solution should be available with our next patch scheduled for today

We will post a news about that on the homepage of the site to keep you updated!

Update is live since a few hours, you should be able to import your characters from the armory just fine now however you will have to log into the game to verify your ownership now.

I've been "importing" My character for 2 days.
It reads 4th in queue with a time of (0.36) as in 36 seconds until done.
I've since tried another character which is 40th in queue with 4:57 min estimated time to be done. (which as been waiting for 4 hours)

I cant find a way to cancel and start over.

Will this get fixed?

We just restarted the Armory Import process that paused after an error. Your character will soon be imported. Really sorry for the issue. If it's happen again, please let us know in the Armory Import issues thread.
