Hi I run windows 7 x64, and I have noticed that after a while of playing a game the Sync client will automatically start to use 25% of my Processor across all 4 cores and the window will come up from the system tray but it will not update, it just sits there as a complete black window using resources until it is force killed from task manager.

I was wondering if there is a known bug that makes the client get stuck in a loop using resources.

An interesting thing to note is when the client is retrieving data (in this case from wow) when i load in to a new character the load on the processor is the same, but it updates within a few secs and then returns to almost idle. Not sure if the client may be getting stuck in some form of infinite loop while gathering data and minimised to the system tray.

I have a 3000 line log file from today alone, which seems to indicate alot of out of memory exceptions.

By this point the client is only using around 120MB of memory. I have 4GB plus 8GB swap file so clearly that isnt a problem unles the client's garbage collection isnt effectlive collecting the garbage data and destoying it.

There is many of those OutOfMemoryError style exceptions happening.

for now I have tried to just make it run under compatibility for windows xp sp3 and as an administrator. See how i go from there.

Hi GenScar and welcome to the Magelo boards!

We've also been experimenting with Win7 on our side to check for bugs.

If you can, would you please let us know if running it in XP compatibility mode helps for your setup?

Thanks a lot!

Hi GenScar,

Can you try to install both 32bits and 64 bits version of Java ? A user just reported that this worked for him on windows 7 64 bits.
