how do i get addons for world of warcraft and how do i install them?

Magelo is not an add on for WoW. All you have to do to use Magelo Sync is click the 'Magelo Sync - Stay connected' logo at the bottom of the bar on the left side of the screen and download the Sync program. http://wow.magelo.com/magelo_sync.jspa

Is there a way to make it so that profiles can be created through addons, not reading the memory?

It would undoubtedly be possible but I doubt they will do it because it would pretty much ruin the slick 1 click profile creation system they have going. Even if the updater could flawlessly install the addon itself. You would need a button ingame to save the profile to a wow saved variables then some kind of selection box in the magelo updater to pick the right profile from it and then a button to sysn that to the site and you'd totally lose the quest, target and item loockup features of the updater. In short its better the way it is.

And will get you banned the way it is. It's better with an addon.
