I registered cos I thought this looked cool. But... no Mac version. Duh.
At least mention that in the registration screen. Now there's not even a way to delete my now useless account.

I was excited when I ran across Magelo for WoW. I played EQ for 4 years and I used Magelo and loved it.
However...
I just deleted the .exe file from my Downloads folder, after going through the time to make an account, because I'm a Mac user. My husband and kids also use a Mac to play WoW. All have their own account.
Creating a Mac client for Magelo would elevate Magelo to the "totally WoW" (pun intended) category. Without Mac support Magelo is just another so-so app in a sea of so-so apps.

Hi there !
we're evaluating all possibilities to bring Magelo to as much user as possible, this includes Mac and win64
Historically, former "Magelo Update" (Sync's ancestor ) was developped on win32, that's why we came up with a win32 version first. We always wanted to add Mac and Linux support, but at that time, we had not enough time to do so.
That being said, we're proud to see there's so much Mac users wanting us to develop a Mac version, be sure you're not set aside
Being in a beta stage, our priority is bug fixing. The Mac version requires a lot of efforts and will take some time before its first version appears. There's chances we'll offer an alternate way to build your online profile first.
I'm looking forward to switch

One more vote for the Mac version of Magelo. I really dug Magelo back in my EQ days and really look forward to using it again. But I'm a Mac user now, and that, unlike my taste in MMO's, will never change again.

Also using a mac, clicked on this link from a website and registered only to find out it was a .exe file.
Though I do understand the desire to fix bugs in beta over supporting more systems.

I am yet another Mac user expressing a wish for a Mac client.
A little fyi. JRE's been a part of the Mac experience for many many years..
Your Win32 explanation could use a bit of fleshing out.
Care to elaborate? Or perhaps open the source and let the Mac community for you?
A Mac WoWAddict can dream, no?

I agree, I'd love to see a Mac version myself, please!
There are more Mac users out there than people believe, which is pretty outstanding. Nice program though! I wish I could sync it...

Another mac user here, signing up without seeing even any notification that it was windows only. At least letting us know before we create the account would be nice. A manual option would even work, certainly. Just wanted to add my voice.

If the Magelo sync tool is java I don't understand why you don't have a mac version available...
Have you seen how WowWebstats handles it? Go to their site, click on the "Start WWS" link, and the client is downloaded if you don't have it, or just run if you already do. It's pure java so it runs on windows and on mac. Pretty slick if you ask me.

Yeah, WOW! That is slick! (wowwebstats.com). Definately should look into that being that your client uses java.
Also a mac user wishing it worked for me.

another Mac user wishing it would work for us. Also might be a good idea to post that it isn't usable on mac's yet so ppl don't sign up and then get depressed when they can't d/l it. But look forward to it when it comes out.
