Hello! I greatly appreciate the features that Magelo provides, but like many other players, I prefer a Linux distribution as my operating system. Thus, I'd like to have access to the Magelo Sync client on my OS of choice.
As I see that Magelo is programmed in (at least partially) Java, by the necessity of the JRE, I would think that portability to a Linux environment would be feasible. Ideally, I'd like to see Magelo open source (or at least, with an open extensible API), but I recognize there may (or may not) be issues with that. Thus, if that isn't feasible at the moment, a Linux client would be a great offering to the community.
There are a handful of other, popular MMO communities with "clients" they've tethered to proprietary Microsoft .NET technology, which has only hurt their adoption on Mac, Linux, and mobile platforms. Those that have made their tech available to those on Linux platforms have been rewarded by the community. A Linux client would easily make Magelo the prime "profiling" site for major MMO players on Linux. I hope it is feasible. Thanks again for your time,
