I keep getting "Unable to retrieve character's status"

Same problem. Just installed Sync, it's detected currently logged in character, but got error "Unable to retrieve character's status" all the time.

I don't understand gameslots idea also. Do I need to have payed subscription to magelo to get it worked?

Playing on official Blizzard server.

Hi Chiffafox. Right now the World of Warcraft channel in Magelo is in Beta so all the features are for free.

With regards to gameslots and Premium service:

If you have 2 World of Warcraft accounts, then you can Sync characters from both accounts using your Magelo account and enjoy the Premium features with them if you purchase a Premium subscription.

If you have 4 World of Warcraft accounts, however, then only characters from the first World of Warcraft accounts that you have Sync'ed will have Premium features. You may still Sync characters in the fourth account with your Magelo account, but you will be unable to use Premium features with it.

Of course, this is a system in the works, as we are still in the Beta testing stage - currently you may Sync characters from an unlimited number of accounts for free until the end of the Beta test.
