I installed the program as stated, and followed the directions to sync . . . but all I get is a message saying "Trying to locate your Logged in character... if it does not appear after a few seconds...".
What gives?

you're mabye suffering from a silent bug Could you copy your log file's content here ? To open your log file type "Ctrl + Shift + L" when Sync is running (you have to focus its window).
