when I try to startup magelo sync it tells me that there is a network failure and is unable to connect, does that mean its a problem with my system communicating with sync?

Do you have a firewall or something which could block magelo sync to connect to its server ?

Hello Vayna.
I think your firewall may have placed restrictions on Magelo Sync, denying it a connection to the server. I would suggest adjusting the firewall settings to permit Magelo Sync to run properly.
I would also suggest posting the Magelo Sync log here if you're still having problems. That way it is easier for us to identify what went wrong.
