I have a power source equiped on profile but it does not effect the stats of the visiable armor pieces.. is there a work around?

You can manually update your character's Type 1 augment slot for the powersource. I'd recommend closing Magelo however, equipping the PS, and reopening Magelo for a fresh feed of your character.
