We are still looking into an issue that has popped up with the latest Magelo Update patch. For some reason, launching the application through the desktop icon will result in an error message stating that no connection could be made.
The workaround for the time being is to visit this website and launch the Magelo Update program from the launcher here. In the mean time, we'll be trying to fix things so that you can launch it from the desktop again as well.
Stay tuned for a fix and apologies for this strange behaviour in the mean time.

Desktop tried to contact testmagelo.com while from website it goes to magelo.com, maybe some old pathing in ther?

I deleted all files that had with magelo to do on my system, icon and stored files in /Application Data/Magelo Update/
And cleaned out java cache from java controllpanel, then relaunched magelo from website (took 9 retrys before it installed (gave several error messages mostly about it could not connect when installer started to download) but now it starts without any problems here on my system.

I haven't had any problems with launching Magelo thus far. I either launch from the Desktop quick links (near the taskbar clock), or from the history list under the Start button.

When I logged in to the website, it sent me to a screen that said security error. It still logged me in and I was able to navigate fine. Just thought it might be related....

When i click on the desktop icon to load magelo update it loads for a few seconds then says "Sorry could not load application".

Does not connect anyway I try, through desktop or launching from the website. It now says "Authentication Failed", I'm logged in too.

when i launch magelo i get a little box saying connect to magelo with username and password and it says an error occured when contacting the server., id and pass is correct.

Not sure if it's related but everytime I sign in, the website not the updater, I get a page that only says "Security error", however, it still logs me in. The updater still not working for me either.

I continue to get the message "Unable to launch application" when running from the website. When trying from the desktop it says "unable to authenticate account" and asks me to keep entering my user name/password.
