Most recently my background music on my profile stopped playing. I've confirmed that it is still loaded on my profile, but no matter what I do it wont play.

Same, some images no longer load either, such as maps in an NPC profile page.

Music still load on my computer with Chrome but the issue is it's coming from an unsecure (http) url. Given profiles are being served over https, all the resources including the music must be served from an https connection as well.
That is likely the issue.

Just wanted to add that it's been doing this for over a month.
Music plays when you first load a mp3 and for a day or two - then stops. If you change something (ie rename it on magelo) about the music file, it starts working again - briefly.

It's really intermittent with no seeming rhyme or reason.
I just opened it from my character screen - no music.
I do a search in ranking, open another person's magelo with music and my own with music - both work.
I reload it in the not-working pop-up, no music, but copy & paste in a new tab and music works. Doesn't make sense!

Are you using firefox by any chance? I have this issue on firefox. Music works fine if I enable flash using IE

I somehow though that our current player was not leveraging flash to play music anymore. I will check this soon.

If you did not have flash installed, it would explain why the music was not playing.
I have updated our sound manager and defaulted to use HTML5 audio to playback music on profiles. Please give it another try and I believe it would work for you now.
