tried reloading the program, triewd restarting WoW. nithng seems to work. here is my log

just as an after thought magelo knows what zone i'm in and who i'm targeting but my profile still doesn't come up.

Hi Leggyblonde, could you try re-installing the Java in your PC please? The error logs indicate a difficulty with Java, even though it should already be the most updated version.

sweet it worked... i think it was because my vista is running 64 bit, but when i went to the java download page it said that i might be running the 32 bit version. so i downloaded and installed both and VOILA! Magelo works!!! thanks for the help
