Is there any way to use old school magelo where you can just make a new character of any lvl and fool around with the gear they are wearing?

Once you create your character via MageloSync, you have the ability to manually manipulate the levels, gear, skills and AAs. This can all be accomplished with a free Magelo account. A manually edited character does not have the Magelo Premium emblem attached to it, that's all.

I've got a character on AlKabor, which is the mac server. Clearly I can't run a windows based program to sync on my mac. How would I create one, or is that impossible enough that I should just forget it?

Hello Saleani,
As you can see here, Mac support is no longer available and the ability to create your own character without Sync is no longer an option either. Sorry for any inconvenience, but EQ on the Windows platform has strayed so far away from the original and Mac versions that they cannot even be compared any longer.
