Im running Magelo on jre 6 under Vista and I have the same problem. My setting is running Magelo in the systemtray on start up, and with this new patch its not showing in the systemtray.. I can see it running in the task manager tho, but im unable to activate it anyway.. so unable to give you any system info...

Ok guys, looks like I'm getting it to work from hitting the button on magelo website. From my shortcut it doesn't anymore though.
