Is there a way for the updater to grab the characters key/flag info without us physically going in to the profile and adding it manually ?

Keyring might be possible, I don't know if all the keys have been migrated there in the game ? Do you still need to talk to an npc to list some of your keys ?

That was for PoP to fix your stuck/broken flags. The /key just migrated to the achievement system.
