Removed Magelo and redownloaded from the site, but it still won't run. Didn't make an icon either btw....
Gave these errors:

Obocohc, can you post your log file please ?
To get your log, just minimize Magelo Update and right click on it in the systray, you will see an option to copy the log to your clipboard then just past it here, thanks.

I had the same error as posted above. I went to the Sun Website and downloaded Java6 from there and this DID fix the problem. I can run MU now.

Well it appears that you now need JRE 6 to use magelo if this is so it needs to be posted where people can see it if I have missed it.
I tried running 3 times under JRE 5.11-B3 without any luck so did what others in this post did and installed JRE 6 and it works well

Did you compile it with the Java 6 JDK? I know if I compile my apps that use networking classes with Java 6, they will not work in previous Java releases. Also, those same apps compiled with previous version do not work well under Java 6. It seems to only be my apps that use networking classes. Even some of the official Sun Java tutorials using JNLP break about the same time Magelo does.
I am now having to maintain two versions of my networking apps. Especially since the Vista users I know all have Java 6 installed.
I am not sure if that helps much. I am excited about using Java 6 for a few of the new features, but bummed that it kills my networking apps if compiled with previous versions. It is the first time I have had a new Java release cause me grief.

I got the aforementioned error. I resolved it by installing Java6 also.

Yes, Java 6 will work, I can also confirm this. I would just hope that it is corrected to work with 5 also, as Java 6 is not officially available on the Java.com site when clicking the Download button.

I just repacked correctly Magelo Update to work with Java 5, so it should work fine now.
