Control Panel shows "Java Update 111" installed but that's all. I have downloaded 32 and 6 bit versions and run the exe files for them but no change in Control Panel

Same here. Can't find jvm on this system but I have it installed.
Apparently I had to install both 32 bit and 64 bit. I did that and it now works.

If you have a 64bit OS, you need to install the 64bit JRE otherwise the 32Bit is enough. You dont really need both to run Magelo Sync, just the one matching your architecture.
