Hey I know it takes time, and I do like the magelo product. That's why I didn't bat an eye when the annual rates doubled from the previous several years I had been a customer.

That said, I like cable television too. I recently had an outage of service for about a week and my cable company cheerfully credited me so they didn't bill me for a period when I had no service.

Now swinging past the two week point, I don't want the Magelo guys heads on a platter. I even think they are probably working their butts off after their day jobs to get it fixed. But I would like to see two weeks added to the backend of this years subscription, as a concession to the many long term customers that happily paid the double rate to use this product.

I can do the math, at 25$ a subscription magelo's staff is being pretty well compensated (gross has to be well into 6 figures) and can afford to give us good value for our fees if this is an after hours project making that kind of money.

Really what does it matter, I think there is another patch scheduled for the 25th? It's just gonna be down again, I'd just go with expecting it back after the 25th. If it's up in between great, I'm sure they are working on it.

Just my 2 cp. We are paying for this (at least I am.) I want credit for all the down time or this is my last subscritption to the site. I like it, but raise the rates or be better on the down time updates. Someone should be makeing a pretty penny on this and it is not me.

ok, here is where we are at..............
when magelo was cheaper, we never seemed this ignored. you wanted to make money on this now start frigging producing what you raised our rates for. has anyone done a log of time down since the increase in price??
what kind of business just leaves PAYING customers hanging for two weeks??
spend the money WE paid YOU and hire some help if it is too much to handle!!

I see alot of peaved off lil boys whining at this point and IMO it needs to stop........ If you recall....not sure some of you are old enough when TSS came out magelo was down for close to 3.5 weeks and the guys here Happily extended all premium members accounts that length of time ..... When TBS came out same story and even an apology for the delays and issues that were CAUSED BY EQ updates!!!!!!!!!!!!

When EQPLAYERS went to hell what did they give you if you were a paying member there as well...... OH yeah not damn thing but more smoke up the tail pipe.......I was even suspended 2 different occasions for screaming for boycotts and refunds from those SOB's at Sony ....... look up the earlier Eqplayers threads and see how many times Djopie1 screamed for Zatozia to get something done ......get off thier backs here you guys its not like SOE likes these guys and says heads up this is exactly what we changed ....this is one of their competitors .........

I would rather have Jelan and his team locked in their cages working the issues out, then trolling forums getting abused by piss ants like the above poster, getting depressed or handing off a slop job and piss poor product ..... IMO you whiny snot nosed mama and daddy pay for this for me lil bratz if you dont like the fact that people have more important things to worry about take your parents cash and go pay eqplayers for thier shit which has yet to work 100% at any time and barely at 35% since february ................ and one more thing when he said this week that could have meant *ANYTIME in the NEXT 7 days so by NEXT wednesday magelo should be up and running just in time for SOE to say HAHA AGAIN *

I agree with Slcendiceurtwin1 on everything except the last line.

"Some time this week" means during this calendar week not the next 7 days.

Words have meaning and that is the meaning of those words put together in that way.

Today is the end of the calendar week, so I would expect to at the very least be given an update today or tomorrow since some people count the weekend as the end not saturday.

I am as annoyed as anyone else by the situation, however I also think patience is important here as well. To their credit the magelo team has always treated us better than Sony, i have no doubt they will again.

While I'm also not happy at all about the delays, I think the reasons it's taking so long is very understandable.

They don't just have to get the updater working, they also have to change how all the AA data is saved for Magelo characters, as some AAs have been replaced with other AAs, making it a huge headache to get everything working again.

Keep in mind almost all the other Magelo services are still working, so it's currently not a total loss (for some people).

2+ weeks of down time to fix a new aa tree is a bit much. Launch it w/o the fix to aa if you have to.
I bet if someone wasnt busy focusing on non EQ magelo stuff, this would have been fixed by now.

Another patch in 4 days so we are gonna get close to the month mark at this rate.

You would think Magelo and Everquest seemingly are partners to a certain point and EQ would have shared the info about the new AA tree programing... but then again EQ's player profile site is always buggy even for the amount of time its been in business...take the programing to a new level I suppose and even thier own players site is still buggy. Someone once said that Magelo and EQ are not partners to a point even if they are not ...wouldn't it be illegal to "scan" the info stream for updates be a hacking of some type of sort..even from EQ's own rules we can't use anything to "enhance" the game or be banned (those programs watch the data stream). I understand hacking the system to make your own play time a "cheating" experiance ; and I am not condoning that in anyway, but if they are not partners doesn't Magelo illegally hack EQ data streams for info? If they are partners why didn't EQ share the info with Magelo? different programming languages? or what? another patch scheduled for the 25th and allow a couple of days to reset that new patch so prolly 27th or so providing they have the prior patch fixed. thats 20 days providing its up and running on the 27th or so, paying for premium and even tho it isn't that expensive we still payed for a service and its is being interupted now i understand a few days 2 or 3 maybe every now and then but for weeks at a time ; I think at least 1 month added to premium users subscription is in order. these are thoughts and in no way am i saying anything bad about Magelo or EQ or any who might use a game "enhancing" program. but from the lack of Magelo's responses on this board obviously its a heckuva update problem they have. but we desever a better responce as to why no update as of yet.

What do you mean no response? There are several in this thread.

Magelo does not violate the EULA.

There is no link between SoE and Magelo.

I agree we need either a patch or an update within the next 12 hours or so and I expect we'll get it.

I think its poor to be down this long without giving your customers something in return of a credit. This is unacceptable.

Your billing system should suspend account billing each time there is a service interuption. I don't pay for your downtime. I pay for your uptime.

C'mon guys. The Magelo team not only has to revamp the updater, they also have to completely redo the database that holds all the data. This is a huge job and I'm sure they're all chugging red bulls about now. Be patient and it will come. And as for working with SoE; as it has been stated, since the release of EQplayers Magelo is in direct compitition with Sony. I doubt if they are going to share info. Stop whining and go grind some levels.

Though i am not complaining about the downtime here i am going to complain about people like Craec. since when do you have the right to tell people they are idiots. you need to stfu and stop insulting people. i'm a patiently waiting customer too as well as you are sir and you don't see me telling people they are all idiots. keep what you think to yourself and don't try to be a moderator. if we ask for updates on what the scoop is let the Magelo and Co team answer them as you are just a subscriber and know the same amount as everyone else about what is going on which at this point isn't a lot. on a good side note i do like the Magelo updater and i will continue to subscribe to the service. Keep up the excellent work guys and i hope you get all the bugs and stuff worked out. if i have to wait till after the patch on the 25th so be it. until then i will keep checkin up to see if anything has changed

All you whanker cry babies get me sick reading all your piss ant ranting and raving. your like the little kid in the supermarket bellowing out because you want something. Magelo is by far the utmost supreme EQ tool out there. It surpasses EQPLAYERS(hit) by leaps and bounds. Go blow smoke on the vet boards for SOE breaking something yet again that wasn't broke. If you think you could have Magelo up and running faster then submitt your application to the team. Patients is a virtue and some of you whankers don't have any. so STFU with the bitching. Magelo team i pat you on your back for keeping this running even though the SOE crap developers keep sticking roadblocks in your way.
