I have tried to sync a few characters on my account and it will not update the characters

Hello!
Looks like you all have different issues. 
Puemwolb, Magelo Sync will update your characters identity but not your gear when you have a free account. You can then go to the website to add your gear manually (My characters > Edit). You can also take our [Premium trial|trial.jspa] to try all the [Premium features|premium.jspa], including the full sync, for 10 days.
Exitor, do you still have an issue? I can see your character was updated yesterday on Sep 22. If you still see a problem, could you please provide the log file of Magelo Sync? Try again to sync and press ctrl+shift+L when the error occurs.
Buddi, do you see any error message in Magelo Sync when you try to sync? Are you trying to sync some characters from a new game account? If you still see a problem, could you please also provide the log file of Magelo Sync?

Tried re-installing Magelo Sync...got a windows error saying it couldnt find the JRE, I installed a new 32 bit JRE no joy....rebooted and then installed a 64 bit JRE (had to be offline). Magelo now launches.
Several minutes later, it detects my character as being in guild hall zone and finds the targeted npc, but does not update the character. This was the same condition as before I reloaded java and magelo sync.
Hope this additional info helps resolve soon. Want another error file dump?

The problem should now be fixed. There is one caveat though, your achievements might not be synced.. So please check if it's the case using the collectibles tool and keep us posted. A Magelo Sync log will be helpful to understand what is happening.

My characters are on fippy darkpaw (progression server) and therefore do not have achievements. We are not far enough along to have that capability.

Ha oky got it. This is rather stupid if you ask me given the achievement system provides no capability so to speak and there are many achievements that are not tied to any expansion...

I do have another issue now that I was earlier unaware of. Although the character says it has updated on Magelo Sync, my stats are not updated on the rankings list. So it appears that I am still not updating.
