Is there any work in progress on your end to update your product? I do not remember agreeing to have to reboot my computer every time I wanted to use your service when you agreed to take my money. You have had almost a year to address this issue on your end and yet I am still paying for a service I cannot use.

Hi groogrux,

What issue exactly do you have with Java 8 ? This is the first time I hear that people have issues with it... I am running Java 8 and things work just fine.

Well I know for me starting after this patch, I get the message, no JVM could be found on your system. Worked fine for me till now.

I get the same message on one of my two machines, but not the other. I reinstalled java 8 update 31, replacing an older version of 8 (25?) which also did not work, and deleted the old versions. This did not fix the issue.

The error message reads:

No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4]_JAVA_HOME
to point to an installed 64-bit JKD or JRE or download a JRE from www.java.com.

The machine that is working is running Java 7 update 55

A little deeper in the forum is the suggestion to download jre8. Google top ranks an Oracle site, not the Java site. The download reports as version 8 update 31, the same as the JAVA site. Interestingly enough, this one works.

Thanks for the follow up Deloehne.

Pretty much all the time people do see this error, it got fixed by making sure you have both 32 and 64bit JRE installed when you are on a 64bit system.

The issue I believe is most people end up with the 32bit JRE on their 64bit system and in that case, Magelo Sync will insist to find the 64bit JRE.

Jelan, when will magelo sync work on 64 bit systems?? If the answer is never please say so, that way I may stop payments to you.

Hi groogrux,

Magelo Sync works on 64bit systems since like many years... Just make sure to install the 64bit JRE, that's all.

Both of my systems are 64 bit and both have been working as 64 bit for as long as I can recall running Magelol, which is to say on the order of a decade.

Ok, guess I had 32 bit installed, just made sure to download the 64 bit and just synched just fine.

I have 64 bit Windows 7. I have the 64bit version of Java installed and I can't for the life of me get the 32bit version to download. It automatically does the 64bit. Any suggestions?

Don't go the automatic route, you have to go to the download page and pick the 32-bit program...

What Byratan said is correct. That being said, you shouldn't need the 32bit version of the JRE to run Magelo Sync on a 64bit system.
