I could have sworn that on Magelo you use to be able to look at your items and see what items were out there that were upgrades. Was this removed? Also I thought that it would show you what spells you were missing if any?
It would be awesome if there was better integration of your character and the items/spells database to be able to use Magelo to locate improvements on items/augs/spells etc.

Glad you found the missing spells feature which is indeed now under the collectible tool.
As for finding upgrades, we never had a tool on our EQ channel for that. We always had the idea to come up with a gear planner but it has yet to materialize.
One thing you can do to check what you have both in term of items and augments at the same time is to look at the modifiers section when you open your equipment:
My Character > Edit > Equipment > Main > Modifiers
